Geschreven door Blake, Chase McGill, Jessi Alexander en Rhett Akins, "Jesus Got a Tight Grip" is afkomstig van Blake's aankomende album Fully Loaded: God’s Country dat op 13 december uit zal komen..
Het album bevat 12 nummers waaronder "Jesus Got a Tight Grip", "God’s Country" en de huidige single "Hell Right" .
Josh Turner heeft zijn eerste Gospel Music Association Dove Award gewonnen tijdens de 50th annual GMA Dove Awards op 15 oktober in Nashville.
Josh nam de trofee voor Bluegrass/Country/Roots Recorded Song of the Year mee voor zijn song "I Saw The Light."
