In Jon Pardi's nieuwe muziekvideo 'Ain’t Always The Cowboy' keert Jon terug naar zijn Californische cowboyroots en ook zijn liefde voor barrelracen. De video is geregisseerd door Carlos Ruiz, we zien Jon Pardi op zoek naar een ouderwetse cliché countrysong over een liefde die voorbij is, maar dan totaal anders op een vrolijke manier.

“I feel like the topic of the song hasn’t been written about in this way, and I love songs that approach things differently and offer fresh perspectives.”

De song is geschreven door Brandon Kinney en Josh Thompson met een subtiele knipoog naar de grote George Strait en zijn hit "The Cowboy Rides Away" uit 1985.
