Moeder Alan Jackson overleden

Mrs. Ruth Jackson, bij familie en beter bekend als “Mama Ruth”, is zaterdag 7 januari op 86-jarige leeftijd overleden.

Mama Ruth overleed in haar huis in Newnan, Georgia. De moeder van Alan werd een belangrijk deel van Alan’s carrière en levensverhaal, ze is de inspiratie achter een hoop songs van Alan.

My mama raised five children  four girls, and there was me.
She found her strength in faith in God and a love of family.
She never had a social life; home was all she knew
Except the time she took a job to pay a bill or two.
