Kenny Chesney ontvangt binnenkort de ´BMI President Award´

Kenny Chesney ontvangt binnenkort de ´BMI’s President Award´.  Het is maar liefs de 64ste BMI Country Awards, en deze keer wordt de spotlight gezet op de top songwriter, publisher en songs in het genre ´country´. Kenny wordt op 1 november onderschieden in het kantoor van BMI te Nashville. Het eerbetoon is uitsluitend voor songwriters die, volgens BMI duidelijk de entertainment industrie hebben beïnvloed.

 “Kenny Chesney is first and foremost a songwriter,” aldus Williams (BMI). “Not only has he earned the respect of the songwriting community, but he has also developed into a top-notch recording artist who re-wrote the concert touring experience by selling out stadiums year after year. He is a friend to up-and-coming artists and songwriters and is as inspiring as he is talented. It is time to salute him for a career that has brought so much to so many, and is far from over”.
