Honey County met Woke Up Tired

Het new country trio Honey County hebben hun nieuwe single "Woke Up Tired" uitgebracht.

“I woke up tired ‘cause I’ve been running ‘round with you in my dreams / I woke up wired ‘cause I’ve been chasing after you in my sleep / You’re the reason why, baby, I, baby, can’t get through the night and I tried but you’re all that I see / I woke up tired ‘cause I’ve been running ‘round with you in my dreams,” zingen de dames in het refrein.

Het nummer is de opvolger van hun single "Under Your Influence" uit 2019. "Woke Up Tired" begint ook een nieuw hoofdstuk voor Honey County, want het is de eerste release met nieuwe bandleden Tracy Lambertucci en Sofie Lynn naast oprichtster en zangeres Dani Rose.

“This will be our first release with new band members Sofie and Tracy and I’m so excited for everyone to hear them shine on this song,” aldus Rose. “It’s funny to think we wrote this with our good friend Kalie Shorr almost a year ago and how relatable it is right now. I can say with all certainty I’ve definitely been waking up tired.”

In these wild times we wanted to focus on some exciting positive things happening with Honey County? We are VERY excited to officially welcome @tracy_lambertucci and @iamsofielynn to the band! Tracy has played with us since 2017 (you might recognize her from @stagecoach last year). She's been a close friend of mine for years now and we are so happy to add her harmonies and outstanding electric guitar skills into our family. Sofie Lynn, literally slid into our DM's in December asking if we'd be open to writing together and before we knew it we were welcoming her infectious positive energy and beautiful voice into Honey County. While @devonjanemusic & @katierosestump are taking time to focus on their own musical journeys, Honey County is continuing to create new music, working on a new single that we can't wait for y'all to hear- plus a couple other surprise announcements coming soon ?much love & hope you’re all staying safe out there, Dani . ? @jadelorna @snapsbysullivan. costume designer @maranda.nichols.persico. ? @_wishingwellsnmagicspells
