Garth Brooks Comeback shows in Dublin gaan definitief NIET door.

 In a statement this evening Mr Brooks said: "I just received the news the Irish council cannot change their earlier ruling to not allow the licenses for all five shows. To say I am crushed is an understatement.

"All I see is my mother's face and I hear her voice. She always said things happen for a reason and for the right reason.

"As hard as I try, I cannot see the light on this one. So it is with a broken heart, I announce the ticket refunds for the event will go as posted by TicketMaster."

Zojuist officieel bevestigd van Aiken Promotions dat GEEN van de concerten zullen plaatsvinden.

Morgen wordt er bekend gemaakt hoe de tickets vergoed gaan worden.

De promoter Peter Aiken is onderweg naar Amerika om Garth the overtuigen om de overige concerten door te laten gaan.

Waarschijnlijk gaan de drie concerten die afgelast zijn naar een andere datum om zo de vijf concerten te redden.

Aanstaande Maandag of Dinsdag wordt er een besluit genomen of de concerten door gaan.

De organisaties doen er alles aan om toch de vijf cocerten door te laten gaan.

De aanvraag om de shows naar een ander stadion te verhuizen is afgewezen, er is niet genoeg tijd om een licentie te verkrijgen

Er zouden geen geldige licencies zijn om op vijf avonden shows te geven.

Er zijn vanuit Dublin nu voor 3 datums licencies gekregen.

Promoter laat weten Garth gesproken te hebben, Garth vindt het niet eerlijk als 160.000 man het concert moeten missen. waarschijnlijk gaan alle vijf de shows niet door

Garth Brooks has stood up to the Dublin City Council .. Its 5 concerts or none as he issues a statement ....

Singer Garth Brooks has issued a statement tonight in relation to the cancellation of two of his Croke Parks gigs, saying "for us it is five shows or none at all."

"I can’t thank the people of Ireland enough for how welcome they have made me feel," said Brooks in a statement issued through his PR representative, Nancy Seltzer.

"I have faith that Dublin City Council will make the best decision for the people of Ireland," he added.

"For us, it is five shows or none at all.
"To choose which shows to do and which shows not to do, would be like asking to choose one child over another.

"However this plays out, Ireland has my heart and always will," Brooks said.
