Dolly Parton's film “Coat Of Many Colors”.

De film over Dolly Parton “Coat Of Many Colors” zal op 10 december in première gaan. Dolly verteld dat de film, gebaseerd op haar single uit 1971 met dezelfde naam, de kijkers een gezonde en onthullende blik zal geven in haar eigen leven.

 

“It really kind of evolves and details a lot of my whole life in bits and pieces. And it really shows family,” Parton told reporters at a media event. “I don’t know if people, besides me, miss having shows like Little House On The Prairie or The Waltons, but it’s kind of like that. It just shows the simple life of back then, back when.

“It’s a show about people who made me who and what I am,” she continues. “It shows that I love music, and I love my folks … It’s really got a lot of great elements.”

 

“Coat Of Many Colors” is de eerste in een TV films reeks die de Dolly gaat produceren (zie eerder bericht)  voor NBC, gebaseerd op haar leven, verhalen en songs.

 

De 2de TV film is gebaseerd op haar song “Jolene”.  John Sacret Young (  “The West Wing”) is hiervoor het script aan het schrijven.

 

Acteurs in “Coat Of Many Colors” zijn oa. Jennifer Nettles, Gerald McRaney,Ricky Schroder en Alyvia Lind die de jonge Dolly speelt.
